cerebral karate for the cynical

... ooh, quick, somebody call the oxymoron police hehe ;)

http://www.loserturdmafia.com/

... welcome to miggys' intellectual karate:

1. develop your weapon: learn for yourself the things you need to know regardless of popular opinion

2. respect your power: using a bomb to defeat a bug wastes time and resources

3. confidence as control: doubters will always exist. tell them "no thank you" and then be silent

4. karate is for defence only: if you create and win a battle, then arrogance is your new enemy

5. stagnation is slow death: seek knowledge from those who know more, share knowledge with those who know less

6. recognise what is actually a threat: the crow does not concern himself with the arguments of ants

This was awesome
Though let's be serious:
2. respect your power: using a bomb to defeat a bug wastes time and resources

Sure it's overkill, but it just HAS to be fun.

What about crows who are actually ants, and ants that that are actually crows? I usually find that if you put up your hand to being a crow you're usually an ant.

Unless, of course, you include self-delusion as one of the higher mental faculties

This praise is justified, because you are so awesomely clever and wise, you seem to know all about 'the way' *chuckle*

I am starting to realise nothing short of top shelf comes from your little part of the world

yeah the book itself is a portly 827 pages but it is very good so far and it has my attention.  As soon as I finish I will write a review on it for you and marco... It might take a little while to write a review on it though so I will probably post other blogs before then...

psychx, hmm ... i hope you come back and read this. anyway, i'm certain you once mentioned in a comment in my blog about a "relationship contract". i cannot find the comment now and i didn't know you well enough at the time to ask questions !. but i have wanted to ask you about it for the longest time, that is of course if it's not a private issue.

i hope you recall what i meant, as i think it would be a very interesting topic if you're agreeable ?. i will go and try and find that comment again, anyway. and i told marco you would post the review soon, btw

thanks,

Mig of course being a person who will not read a book unless she has two referrals Psych, hurry up and tell her it's good, the only book she's read that I have recommended is "One Hundred Years of Solitude", she has others that i lent her but she simply refuses to read them. And i DO want that review, i don't know anyone else who reads Delillo.

And to all who read this, i am in no way implying that Mig doesn't read. I've seen her hoarding closet (rather than a book shelf, a closet that is jammed with the things, i think it might have something to do with the principle of ever-fresh packaging, she wants to keep the smell of books in) and the scattered evidence around the house.
