A good start ?

from Stardock Forums
Ok i just got the game installed, installed stardock central and got the updates that it provided.
But i would like to know a few things about the mods here.
1st: are they going to overwrite or just add to the current game content? (havent been reading enough posts to find anything about this yet)
2nd: Which mods are a must have if i really really like the game?
i know they all proberly are, but i would just like a bit of reccomendation as where to start.

1)Most of them add to the game however there are a few that over write the game files.They should say in the library if they do.

2)Well I think that the best mods is the Omega Pack,Minicolony ship, And if your going for an alliance victory Research Inc. The Saint pack is also good.

The one's Nagmir mentioned plus the Cultural Capitol, Religious Capitol, Advanced Freighters and Transports, Wasp, Death Glider, Nidaros Event Pack, Expanded Anomaly Pack and Monstrous Pack.

Another questions while i am at it ;)

is it still posible to upload my games to metaverse when useing mods?.
or is it only the ones that are certified by stardock that permits this?

You can upload any game using any mod or combination of mods. There are some triggers that will get you a zero score. The most well know is the PQ trigger. Your civ wide PQ attribute must not rise above 40%. Individuale planet PQ can be above 40% with no worries. So you must watch this even when using 'approved' mods.
