Serious exploit discovered

I just crashed the game, but I don;t feel bad about that, I was exploring the depths of an exploit I discovered today.

If you pay all the BC you have for 50 months, you will be payed that amount instead of pay to the other civilization once you hit zero funds.

I discovered this in a despirate attmpt to buy some drengan battleships to help stave off the Altarian Navy. In two months I had exactly the emount I had before I entered the transaction, the next month, double, and so on...

By the time I crashed, I went from four beleagured planets, to having bought out all minor civilizations entirely, bought out the altarian and Drengan Navy, bought all but a handful of Altarian planets, conquered the rest, and most of the drengan empire. all in roguhly 25 months. All this with roughtly 350,000,000 BC in my account. I presume The game crashed because next turn I was looking at upwards of 1.2 Bilion BC.. a bilion bilion... imagine that.

I post this, not as a window into a cheat, but to see this bug adressed as soon as possible.

Which version?

IIRC, this was one of the known exploits that was discovered soon after the game was released when the AI was knowingly accepting a trade where it had to pay 5000 BC per month. It was fixed in one of the early patches.

Ahh this is the base version of the game, never bothered to update it yet, guess I will now, eh?

This sure is a wierd bug, but not unexpected, many games I've played reset values when you either go too high or too low for a certain cap, I guess this is what happened here, I can't spend money I don't have, so by spending -7,000 BC, I was actually receiving +7,000 BC from the other civ... wierd but within the realm of possibility. I'll patch and see if it still happens.
