Unable to install sins of a solar empire

Hi.

I'm having problems getting Stardock Central to install sins. The installer hangs at 1% on "Extracting: AbilityBattleMeditation.entity". I have tried downloading from both available download server's to no avail. How can I fix this problem?

Thanks,

Only some Stardock employees have the expert knowledge of SDC to answer that one :

a) either one will jump in this thread sometime today ;

b) or/and, send a detailed e-mail to >>> support@stardock.com !

Good luck. It's a great game.

You think that is bad. I bought the game, tried to install, kept getting error messages saying that the file was missing that it was trying to install.

Take it back and get another copy at the store. This time even worse.

As soon as I close the DVD try and the PC starts to access the disk I get a Blue Screen of Death, crash mini dump.

Once the PC reboots and I get back into windows, I launch My Computer to browse to the DVD and launch the install from there but as soon as I open My Computer a Blue Screen of Death, crash mini dump happens and my system reboots. Took it back and luckily they gave me my money back.

I have NEVER had or heard of a prgram BSOD me before I even installed it. Now that is WACKED.

E-mail the BSOD's specific info* + the minidump file to support@stardock.com !

*At the top. It might be a line stating something like this (just as an example) :

[...] IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

You might find it useful to consult this Acrobat (.pdf) web document :

Managed to get it to install by installing in Safe Mode. Game seems to be working.

Yea it seems to be working in Safe Mode installing. I got two files that would not install. I clicked ignore for both and it finished installing, I'm just curious as to those two files and what will happen? So far so good, just got the game and I'm loving it, had a nice slow match with an easy computer (3 hours long so far and I'm not done), just trying everything. After all it is my first match, offline. Can't wait to play more, had to eat some food and I wanted to take a break, definately will continue the game.

Sorry if this is going off topic, but the tutorials were short and easy. I don't know why people think there is a steep learning curve. It is like learning the basics. I got into tutorial thinking I would be doing it for a good 2 hours and trying to figure it out. Took me 10-15 minutes, fun game and the learning curve for me is easy.
