system tray

Hi! I've read in some post that to run properly the system tray tab need a program call trayserver.exe
Is that correct?
I don't have it so that must be why my icons don’t appear in my system tray tab.
Where can I find this program?
thanks! ;)

OD+ used to require SDMCP.EXE for the systray, but starting with the 1.58 beta it was no longer required.

From the History text.......1.58 beta

-Completely redone system tray mechanism, which is more lighweight and does not require any
additional resident EXE (that’s right, sdmcp.exe will be a thing of the past :)) System tray
will not currently work on 64-bit versions of Windows, but they do work with Windows Vista, including
the new "Special" tray icons in Vista.

I believe trayserver.exe is for DesktopX and ObjectBar.

I think it's still

SDMCP.EXE

I think trayserver is for the WC tray - listed in the WC part of SDC

You could very well be right Bichur, but to further confuse the issue, I just loaded an ObjectBar theme with a systray, and I don't see sdmcp, or trayserver in processes. :NOTSURE:

I know ODock doesn't need it anymaore, maybe newer Obar doesn't either?
