The AI Issue

There is a huge issue with the AI in the game. I did few testings and this is what I found.

in FFA 4 or 8 players as long as you don't start researching fllet operations and star increasing capital chip limit the AI will simply ignor you and will let you all the time you want to fully research all technologies.

In same game 4 FFA the AI will stop research after researching 18 tehnologies while in same period of time I managed to research over 56 technologies. It is needless to say that I steam roled all 3 AI with superior technology.

Next the AI isn't building any defensive structure and relays alot on low level units ie frigates and in rare occasions on crusiers.

I tryed all types of AI research offensive guard but it is always same thing. Personnaly I don't think it is normal to wipe out the floor with HARD Ai after just 5 games played.

Thank you.

Also, I notied that the strategic AI seems to ignore wormholes and their effect on the time it takes to reach a destination.

That means, when planning to attack an enemy, the AI doesn't consider that due to nearby wormholes it could easily attack my homeworld on the other side of the map but instead chooses to attack my nearest planet it can reach by conventional phase-travelling.

I'd like to add that I'm aware that the pathfinding-AI successfully uses wormholes. That means when the AI wishes to send a scout to my homeworld the scout uses the wormhole like is expected to. However, due to the failure of the strategic AI to realize the advantages of wormholes it never sends a military fleet to my homeworld since it believes that it'd take ages to get there.

Also I noticed the AI seems to fail to capture resource asteroids in uncolonizable gravity wells (e.g. plasma storms, space junk, gas giants, etc.). That effectively disables this game-feature in games against the AI since only the player can take advantage of it.

One thing I see is the AI sending large fleets back and forth between stars (I'm guessing because they failed to assault a world in another system).
