Start Button Question

Aero Executive Skin

I am having a problem with Version 6.02.025 where the Vista Classic start button appears on the task bar and the start button from the skin is gone (only the portion of the button that is above the task bar appears.

There was a post where the response was not to start a new thread and that it was answered in another thread. I searched the site using the words "Start Button" and read all responses related to Windows Blinds. I did not find an answer. Perhaps it is in another category or it is related to the skin I am trying to use.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am running Vista Transformation Pack 8.0.1 on a Windows XP box.

Matuka the Vista Transformation Pack, if I'm not mistaken, has caused people problems running with WindowBlinds and possibly other Staddock programs. Lets see what the folks at support say. :NOTSURE:

You are likely to have issues runnign both XTP and WB.

What feature of XTP are you looking for that WB doesn't fulfill.  maybe there's an alternative.

I installed XTP first to get the sidebar gadget and vista look and feel. I found WB later.

I was wondering if it might be XTP. I'll try uninstalling it. Any suggestions on getting a sidebar and gadgets?

Thanks for the replys.

You can find some skins in the SysMetrix Gallery Library that mimic or give you a sidebar look and I believe under the DesktopX Widgets Gallery Library also. You can find free sidebar software/programs on the Web like Desktop Sidebar for one that will be compatible with WB and Stardock programs.

Thanks for all the help. Warning to others ... don't try to use XTP and WB together. They fight too much.

Found the gadgets that came with XTP on the web so everything is back to "Normal".

Thanks again everyone.

Thank goodness no one ever points out my *occasional* error like that.  It might be disinheartening and cause me not to post again.
