Vista SP1 Compatibility

Hey,

Now that Vista SP1 has RTM'd, is the latest version (6.02.025) of WB fully compatible with SP1 RTM?

Thanks.

SP1 Vista is still beta. Nothing is guaranteed until it's a full release I am afraid.

Some troubles have been reported with SP1 with some program though I have not heard anything about WindowBlinds yet.

No it's not, it's been RTM'd. (Running it as we speak)

WB Works fine, no problems.

I have been running WIndows Vista Ultimate with the sp1 rc1 and it runs beutifully. no issues with window blinds or cursor fx. cursor fx did have issues with the beta and rc but as soon as the full version was released, all cursor vanishing issues disapeared. love it :) i also run nvida 8800 gts 320 mb on smd x2 6000 +. newest graphics drivers are a must

Microsoft states that SP1 will not be released in the update center until mid March and will not be pushed out as an automatic update until April.
I am being told the only way to get it is to obtain a pirated copy. Since my copy of Vista runs sweet, I see little reason to hunt down a pirated copy of a service pack that will more than likely screw my system up. I already had to restore a back up of my system when I installed RC1 due to DesktopX issues.
More than likely, I'll wait until Stardock releases a version of DesktopX that is compatible with it before I update.

There is a caution that if you did not uninstall the Beta before installing the current release of SP1 there will be conflicts. On a test machine there are no conflicts running the current SP1 download. Formal release IE through Windows Update is still scheduled for March.

Vista SP1 is not beta anymore, SP1 RTM has been released to the 15.000 lucky one's and I am one of them. To answer the question: the latest version of WindowBlinds works perfectly with Vista SP1.
