As the MVC I think the community did accomplish as much as it could in the time being.
In the end, though, we fell to inactivity. The conversations dwindled and in the end it was basicly just me and Mumble, and sometimes someone else.

It was sad to see it go, but any revival could possibly be benificial.
The main thing here is to consider more community activity based around the AltMeta and the MVL.

But to consider any changes with the Altmeta we would need Kryo's help.

Actually, I didn't list any of the MVC's accomplishments, only tasks that I would like to do or expand upon. The main accomplishment of the MVC, for those that don't know, is working with the AltMeta.

I will probably have a full proposal later today or tomorrow that I will post in the MVC Suggestions Box Sticky Thread. I will also send PMs to any MVC Councilors that are still around, and also invites to active empires.

Some times a person just needs to step up and take the reigns, and for the moment, I seem to be that person.

I know you didn't, I felt it justified to say that we were not just hot air and beurocracy, a lot of time(and reading) was invested into the MVC.

That would be a good thing to do. I don't know how many Councilors you may reach, but I can give you a list of them if it will help. I will also make a post about it in our MVL topic.

In all I wouldn't expect a hasty response from us, but I am sure that no one on the Council will appose the set up of a new community initiative. Of course some more prior discussion must be had before any decisions on its setup, I do agree that it should be a public forum. I pushed for us to move to be more public in our voting, and try to get more community invovlvement. Sadly, it was never realised, and after our work with the new Altmeta was done and we turned to face other issues, such as the incorporation of the Mods and MVL we kinda faded away.

It would seem you are not so faded after all TGE. I can say, I definitely faded off the scene at a point when life got really hectic. Fortunately lifes storms rarely last forever. The MVL was definitely more than hot air. I do agree that most of us from the Council have not opposition to the formation a new body. I have but one question... Does the Metaverse need governing?

i have no plans to try and govern the MV, Vukasika.

What i do want, is to continue to expand and explore on what the MVC started a year ago. The ground work is there, just needs someone to take up the cause.

I guess that means no friendship between empires... Oh well, we'll enjoy watching the young races fight pointless and unnessecary battles. Please put a good show on for us .

I would say a good amoutn of friendship and friendly competition does exist.

Ok, I was a member of the old Arrakis Imperium. I'm wondering what happened to it?

I know many of the Arrakis Imperium members joined this empire and were pretty active until about a month ago when they went quiet. I'd guess they'll probably come back around eventually though

If you are looking to join an empire, the Kzinti are the current top dog, but the Tyranny, Olympians and Diplomats are all still active. I'm a member of both the Olympian Gods and the Galactic Diplomats, and both are great. If you are interested in learning about the game and improving your skill level, I'd recommend the Diplomats since there is a huge body of tested knowledge on our forum at the galactic core. You could also take a look at joing the Metaverse League, which is great fun .

Thats not entirely correct JustinSane4. The Yuuzhan Vong is the Arakkis Imperium. They changed their name a few months ago, but it's the same empire, same emperor, Vukasika. Some members from another old empire, the Galactic Empire joined with Vukasika and the Arakkis Imperium to form the Yuuzhan Vong.

The Yuuzhan Vong (AI) and it's Emperor have always been friends of the Kzinti, and we assume that Vukasika will probably be back again, he's taken a break before.

Okay. I'd taken a bit of a break (go hooked on WoW) and hadn't been on in a fairly long time. Then when I came back, it seemed that we (the Imperium) had been taken over. It was quite a shock to be honest. But knowing that it's still the same core Empire, I'm sure I can get over the loss of the Dune theme. If not, I can always start a new character.
