AI MEGA-races?

Is it just me, or do the AIs get 2-3x (or more) the racial picks of the human player? When I check their racial stats after doing espionage, they are SO much better than mine even in games where I have the majority of the resources, wonders, etc. (things tha give global bonuses). Just wondering... :notsure:

Maybe they are just better at picking the bonuses at the start? ;)

Also have to remember that what they pick during those random events modify their stats, political party, starbases, trade goods, techs, and a few other things. I wish there was a breakdown of the stats when you hovered the mouse over them so you could see how much of comes from which part of the game. Add it for advanced espionage on the other civs so you have more reason to spend money on it.

Yeah the evil Drengin are gonna get pumped every time... BUT, other bad events may affect them later on...

They're usually more juiced than me, yes, but I chalk most of that up to the fact that the AI is much better at getting to the resources than I am.

I don't think it is them being better at getting to the resources. In my game, I had most of the resources (or at least more than my "fair share") and had also explored MUCH more than my "fair share" of anomalies (I had 3 survey ships and much better speed tech compared to the AIs who also only had one survery ship each that moved much slower than mine).
