Noob query - sounds

Sorry if this is addressed elsewhere - I have looked through the forum.

In the absence of a proper BSG mod, I'd love to replace some of the default voices with clips from Battlestar Galactica (so phase jump becomes FTL, fighters become Vipers etc) . Nothing more than that at this stage. How do I go about doing this?

1) Record the sounds from BSG with a program like Audacity
2) Save those sounds
3) Check which sounds are the ones for the ones you want to replace inside the sound folder in the Sins's directory
4) Backup those sounds in the Sins sound directory
5) Rename the files you saved to those of the ones you want to replace in the Sins sound directory
6) Overrite the sounds in the sounds directory (make sure you made backups)

The clips you record from BSG have to be in .ogg so you'll need to find the encoder for ogg vorbis and tell Audacity to use it. I did this to replace a lot of the TEC music and it worked perfectly.

A lot of the music at least is in .ogg format so theoretically you could just name your clips the same as the .ogg files (back them up first!) and it would play them. I'm not sure where all of the voice clips are stored at.

Edit: got beaten to the punch by more detailed responses!
