Suggestion: A game scale modifier with the map size.

Hi there,I have been playing Soase since launch and while the game various mechanics(research-rats-diplomacy-fleet size)work well on small map, they seems to be a bit off when you play huge map (3-4 solar systems with 100+ planets).

First off, Diplomacy become very hard as it takes almost the whole timer just to make a jump to the next planet, let alone find and destroy what your ally really wants.

Research become way too easy. If you are to play a game that will takes weeks if not months to finish, it is a bit odd that you can complete the whole tech tree in a few hours(even on slow research) making tech monger type of player a bit worthless.

Fleet size should also be increased, not talking about unlimited ship but something more in the line with the size of the map.

It would also be nice to add more diplomatic options like demand credit-crystal-metal. Asking an ally for a joint attack on common enemy(ies) would also be neat.

That was one of my observations about the game too, the diplomacy model forces the player to be at the beck and call of all the other races, but the player has very little way to demand anything in return.

I agree that the tech rate should be scaled for huge maps.

Yeah and I think for the diplomacy timer, a scale mod is a must.

It is possible (and useful:)): Just select a fleet/ship of one of your ally and you can ask him to attack/defend a planet or to defend thanks to three buttons in the right part of the grid. Note that you also have shortcuts (Q, D and I don't remenber the last one but just check the key bindings option)

I say useful because I am using it now to trick my ally (it becomes useless and too powerful) and attract his massive fleet away from its own planets in a dark corner of the map where 3 of my fleets will ambush it:)

For your second requets: I agree and I am also very interesting in being able to ask for resources and credit.

Totally agree when more than >4 Star systems and >2 enemys it tends to end in a botleneck due to the lack of fleets. And the need to pursue enemy fleets.
