Game Crash

i've discussed it in another thread but i wanted to have a different post! i am running the game on windows XP with a GeForce 8800GT 512mb graphic card.

now the problem: i play the game when suddently, and not in standarn times, the sound breaks and the game crashes. has anyone else encountered exactlty the same problem? i had the same problem in general but fixed it (too many hard discs) and now in every other game i have no problem. could it be confirmed that this is a SoaSE bug or else i will have to start looking for hardware problems.

Go to effects in the menu and lower the resolution on everything. It helped me  :)

i took it from highest to high and for some time made things better but still it crashes. should i put it medium ?

You should be able to run the game on high resoultions with a 512mb card easily. What I am saying is why would resolution have anything to do with sound. I have had my sound break once, but it was in multi player and it only happened for 5-6 seconds..then the game went back to normal, I think it was more a thing of lag.

no you didn't understand! there is a sudden sound break and then the whole computer crashes!! it isn't a sound problem, it's a graphics problem

ya, check audio card.... playing freelancer i had a problem with the 3d sound and every time i went thru a jumpgate the comp crashed, disabled it and it worked fine
