Unable to type alphabetical characters

Unable to type alphabetical characters

For some reason, my alphabetical keys cease to function, while my numerical and miscellaneous remain functional.
This does not occur every time but it has now happened several times and each time has temporarily and mysteriously fixed itself. Meaning that while I may not suffer the problem in the first 5 minutes of a game, suddenly I lose the ability to type alphabetical characters and this continues for 5 minutes or often longer before fixing itself, allowing me to type fully, once more... before again 'breaking' a few minutes later. This has happened in the game-lobby, too.

Has this been experienced by others? I've certainly never had this problem in other games, nor did I notice the problem during the previous betas.

My keyboard is fully functional outside of the game. It's a British keyboard. My computer specs (taken from SmartException) are as follows:

Operating System : Windows XP Service Pack 2 - (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254)
Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS
Sound Card : SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio [AC00]
DirectX version : 4.09.00.0904

... I'll be going on holiday in a few hours, so I may not read any replies for a while... Hopefully I've given enough information for the problem to be picked up.
Also, I'm hoping that when I get back, the bug where games that are fully are still shown in the "join Game" tab as having space and the bug that still causes system crashes (I've emailed at least one smartexception file off after a crash) will be fixed. I love the game, it's very cool. It'd be a shame to leave bugs like this in an otherwise gem of a game.

Something like this happens to me also. I used to have another language on this computer, and I guess it is going back to that, because the hotkeys show up in hebrew... Kinda wierd. They fix themselves once and a while though.

Ah yes, it's my language bar that's the problem. I have a rather obscure shortcut to one of the languages I often need to write in and despite the unusual shortcut, Sins every now and then requires that I hit the key combination (Alt + Shift), which changes my characters to non-ASCII and so messes with my text. Problem solved :-) Thanks, Zada.
