how long does download take??

Hey im about to download the game and was wondering on my cable internet connection how long will it take to download the game?
please any input would be greatly appreciated :)

Obviously this can depend on a number of things but I'll say that I downloaded mine using cable internet on release day and I had it purchased, DLed and installed in about an hour.

It's far far faster than anything like direct2drive, at least in my experience.

man i hope it takes like a hour, im dying to play this damn game lol

one of the biggest things i hate about bieng Canadian is hearing all you others having a ball with it while i wait for it to be released lol

on Broandband it took me less then 5 minutes ... I think (not counting installation time).

if they still have the bandwidth they did i was pulling in 2400KB/s which is my max so wont take u long at all if you have a 20mbit download like me or more :D

its only around 900mb of data btw

I hope it downloads fast from here (Germany). I will buy the CE tomorrow in the Stardock shop and start my new career as galactic emperor. :CONGRAT: (there is no other version available as direct download, right? only collectors edition)

I have 1.5 mb (about 600Kb) cable broadband and it takes about 30 min for the 1g, it maxes out my pipe. Never had a problem with SD.

The GalCiv2 Updates are sometimes only at 200-300 KB/sec. But my DSL could handle 1,5 MB/sec. I hope this is better with Sins. Huge files are loaded faster usually. But many small files are slow.

Sins is currently being cached with a high-bandwidth provider who has servers around the world. So unless there's a connectivity issue between you and the nearest of their servers, you should get excellent speeds.
