REQUEST: Battle Locator

when text isn't enough

First, I appologize if there is infact a method for this, and I've just missed it.

Is there, or can there be, a method for auto-zooming to a battle (such as by doubleclicking the battle notification box on the GUI)? I find that I'm often frantically searching the map for the planet I was just told was under attack, and have sometimes lost it before i located it. I'm not very good at memorizing my system names, or their locations, so this feature would save me ALOT of heartache.

Just a thunk...

I tried that too and it didn't work. I agree that it would be a really nice feature.

If your ships are part of a fleet, can you not just click on the icon for that fleet to focus on it? If that fleet is part of the battle, you should then see it. Icons on the left hand side turn red when they are under attack, so you can simply click the desired icon and focus on it.

Spacebar is the default 'focus on' key for Sins. Anything that pops an event card in any of the 4 categories you can focus on with space :) You can even sift through the previous event notices (keep clicking on the cards to go forward, right click goes back)

Hmm, I think you can right click battle reports to scroll up/down on the list and then left clik on the portrait picture to zoom to location.
