June 4~ All morning Potential (one of our alpacas) looked rather tired and in pain. Close to noon she started going in to hard labour. It's a beautiful sight, a baby being born. However, I was completely unemotional over this birth, for some reason. Just my mood I suppose. You always hope for a girl, but we got a boy. He's a cute little bugger, though. All white like him mom, with a brownish/burgendy tail, like his father. I don't know what we're gunna name him yet. Maybe Tic Tac, which would be pretty cute, because his father's name is Takaroah. He was a whole 18.5 pounds, which was fairly good size considering he wasn't quite 11 months. He's not too curious a little thing, but not too timid either. I was crouched close to him last night as he was cushed, and his bitchy mother came up and bit my forehead. It was quite amusing, and wasn't really painful. Just took me by surprise, because they usually spit. All in all, a cute little cria. Feel free to ask any questions you might have.
