Yeah I couldn't change the resolution on my laptop either (Intel integrated graphics x3100, Vista x64), but setting the resolution I wanted (1280x800) in the user.setting file worked for me.

Did you previously have the beta? In which case you may be modifying the wrong user.setting file as it changed placed in retail. It's now

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire

or

C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\

i have make a stupid mistake.

I was working at institutions resolutions

and there was a bar with which you could set the dark picture I have wanted

I put him on quite dark and could no longer see my game.

I reinstall it but that did not work

I've searched the registry but in my bestant could not find it. What should I do?

I'm having the same problem as kenny669.

Under the video options menu, the column to select and change the game resolution is empty. Other changes like the refresh rate, AA, and windowed mode don't activate the apply button.

I'm using a new download of the game via the most recent version of impulse. OS is 64bit Windows 7 Pro.

Nice. Stardock can take more than 5 days to respond to a support ticket and everything is fine. If I take more than 24 hours to respond to their request for more information (I was out of town and away from my computer) and they close my support ticket. That's lame Stardock. That's really lame.

^Did you try the manual method described in the first and fourth posts in this thread?

^ I did and manually editing the user.setting file works. However, that's not a fix, it's a hack. The underlying cause of the problem, whatever that may be, hasn't been addressed. The fact of the matter is that one of the game's built in functions isn't working as intended and that needs to be fixed.

I just got a new monitor and dont  have any resolution options in Diplomacy, however after adjusting the user.setting file to read 1920x1200 I can set the resolution for Entrenchment, but still not Diplomacy.

I'm assuming that the user settings for diplomacy are in a different place.

Can anyone point me to where that is?

Thanks!

btw, I'm using win 7

Figured it out.  The settings had to be changed in diplomacy.user.setting

and I also had to change the refresh rate, which was 75 (old monitor) and 59 (new monitor).

Once the monitor refresh was correct, then all monitor resolutions appeared.

BTW, looks FANTASTIC at 1920x1280.

Sure wish I could use 2 monitors for this game ...
