Activation question (limit?)

Hi all.

I purchased WindowBlinds (standalone) a few days ago, and it's working great. It was installed/activated.

I'm having some problems on my machine with Vista (not related to WB) and am contemplating reformatting and going back to XP.

When I come to reinstall WB after reformatting, will I have a problem activating the software, as it had been previously activated under Vista?
Do I need to de-activate it first or anything.

Also, if WB allows for a certain number of activations per license, what happens if I exceed the count by reformatting my system (which I do frequently).
I am wanting to go back to XP, but don't want to run into a problem when I come to activate WB for the second time on a different OS.

Hope someone can answer my question.

you can format and reinstall a few times before reaching the activation limit but even after doing that, you can easily get the limit re-set. i know i've done it more than once. i guess the easiest and quickest way is to reach somebody in support in the #stardock irc channel. they'll reset it quickly for you. but, if this is the first time for you, you'll have no issues after formatting and reinstalling windowblinds

Reformatting this time should be fine and you shouldn't flag the activation limit.  if you do happent to do so, emailing support@stardock.com will get it reset.  They are closed-ish on the weekends . . so keep that in mind if you want faster support.

Another thing, Stardock Central is a great tool for managing your Stardock apps.  It can archive and restore and notify you of update.

Hi Seabass.

Yes, I think there's some issue with my account actually.
Some time ago, I had an ObjectDesktop subscription, which was tied to schnitzel2k3@hotmail.com email address. I let this expire.

However, when I recently purchased WB, I associated it with a different email address. For some reason, when I tried to make a Stardock account (to use these forums for example), when I was using the new address that I used to purchase WB it said an account already existed.

Therefore, the email account tied to this forum account is the old one I purchased ODNT on, and not WB.
Is it possible to change this?

Under the posted account there is a MyColors purchase. Under the hotmail account there are no purchases at all. Could it be any other email address? If you are not comfortable posting it here you can PM me.
