Multiplayer anyone?

Now I understand that GalCiv is the best single player space empire game ever made. That being said I know I would pay at least $40 or $50 for expansion that just added multiplayer. I'm not talking about additional content, nor the ability to play as any other race besides human. In fact, I think it would be cool if in multiplayer everyone just played as a human, but I digress. I am posting this as a desperate plea for some way to get multiplayer in GalCiv. I know that this game was intended as a single player experience, but I think that it just screams for multiplayer. I'm sorry if I am barking up some people trees, but this is the fourth night that my wife, my daughter, and I have played GalCiv and wished we could play this together, so I thought I would least ask.

TBS games are always a schlep to play MP. They generally take too long.

That said, I'm finding the Metaverse concept to be a VERY exciting psuedo-MP alternative. Create an Empire with the rest of your family and work together to post the best scores you can on the metaverse. :)

My best friend and I wish there was a hotseat option. That's the only MP option I miss not seeing in this game.

Hot Seat, would be awsome as I sometimes like to play more than one race in Disciples 2, this would be very desirable in GalCiv as there could still be 4 other opponents!

I would have to put my 2 cents in on hotseat. It does not seem like a technically difficult add-on and would really not change the flavor of the game that much.

That was not well written. Oh well all the perfectly good college education and I can't write a clear sentence. What I meant to say was I would be in favor of a hotseat option if it were easily implementable.

Sure TBS game takes a long time to complete but WOW i have never had a better time when me and one of my friends played Alpha Centauri over LAN. We sat there for 12 hours non stop gaming
