just a query, is the deskscapes version 1.02.037 an update of deskscapes version 1.90 b 0.023 because my computer says it is an update. just find it odd.

Hi, have you checked to make sure your selection box for "show prerelease versions" at the bottom of the screen in stardock central is checked? When it is unchecked, i see the beta as curently installed and the 1.02.037 as an update dated 1/15/2008, which is the current full release product of Deskscapes 1.02.

You must've had it checked at one time otherwise you would not have been able to install v1.9 which is the current Beta. 1.9 IS the latest version available.

1.02 is the current "Release" version. In other words it is NOT a Beta and has been thru extensive testing and had all the bugs fixed.

Beta releases are provided to Object Desktop subscribers ONLY. They are "works in progress" and we help Stardock out by running the betas and reporting back any issues or bugs that we find. Novice users are better off avoiding betas as they may have unforseen effects on your computer.

When "show prerelease versions" is unchecked, then you are shown the latest 'released' version. Is this an update to the latest beta? No.

[edit] I see Lantec explained it much better than I, while I was trying to type it out......
