My humble suggestions after playing DA for a while.
The screen for invasions might best be a movie that has exciting and chaotic battle scenes with no attempt to relate to actual troops of the player and AI facing each other. The invasion scenes in DA look like the French against the Prussians in the 19th Century because of the attempt to depict the actual troops.

Just have a movie that moves from venue to venue of starwars level troops, vehicles and ships blasting each other amid fire and smoke, on or over water, in fjords and moutain passes, starwars helicopters disembarking troops and getting hit...bridges, dams, huge buildings being taken out with missiles, all chaotic dark fiery movies. No ID of friend or
foe...just heroic battle scenes...small numbers of special forces galactic troops taking a strong point or strategic starport, blowing up a gigantic dam, bringing down a giant bridge, cities going down in fiery hell....

Below all this can be the bar graph showing the progress of the battle, not in numbers of troops but just in shrinking bars in the civilizations' colors to show who is winning.

Are you playing DA or TA? Because the TA invasion screen is vastly different from the DA one and actually looks nothing like the old one. (And a DA report shouldn't be in Beta Reports)

Yeah TA is much better in my opinion. No more little soldiers marching at each other, instead we have movies of things like cities being destroyed.

Although it's much better than DA, I hope it will be improved. Now all the planets look the same. Same sky, same clouds etc. Even the cities do not fully look different (although I need to look some more since the planets I invaded thus far weren't fully developed)

But seriously, each planet type should have a different background picture, and clouds. They can't all the same.

They've said there will be different movies depending what improvements are on the planet that's being invaded but that at the moment only a few are in the current beta so they mostly all look the same.

I haven't seen TA, my suggestion was based only on the DA invasion scenes. If TA has movies that sounds good to me and my post may be superfluous.

Yes TA has movies of the various planetary improvements on a planet being destroyed in a sort of tactical display in TA. It doesn't show troops though it's a little larger scale than that.

I like it, not bad for an expansion.
You'll have to have TA to see it though as it's TA specific I believe.

On the talk of invasion screens, it would be nice to see one for Spore Ships. Obviously it's one sided, you'll always win, but I want to see the planet being infected.

Yeah, now it doesn't run at all. Great. SDC shows me as having the G version of Dark Avatar, but when I run it, it shows E still. I wonder if that is part of the problem with TA not running? I have re-installed DA and TA multiple times and still have the same problem.

Would it be against your NDA to display some screens of the new invasion animations? I'd really like to see a few sample shots, even if, as static movies, I'll eventually just skip through them anyway.
