Anything to know when installing other programs while running ObjectDock plus..

I've been running ObjectDock plus (1.9) for a few days now, and i do like the look and feel of it, the perform is pretty good so far, there are some things i hope will be inproved in future versions i.e System tray handling at the main dock with more options on how they could appear, and the taskbar not shown even during the building of the desktop during bootup.

What i would like to know though, are there any routines or precautions that i should do first before installing or uninstalling software on the computer, while Objectdock is running, and if so...

....would it not be another good update, if there was a kind of 'quick deactivate' feature which is configured to remember you personal Objectdock setup.

There is no danger installing while OD is running.

The only thing is if you uninstall any software you will end up with dead shortcuts to that software if you have any in your docks...so make sure you remove that shortcut as well. ;)

Thanks, i have just now notice one strange thing, i thought i'd go to the windows update via www.microsoft.com -> Security & updates -> updates link, the page kept erroring out with a Microsoft warning and this 'Error number: 0x800A01B6' i havn't added or changed anything in my firewall, or loaded anything onto the computer for ages other then ObjectDock plus 1.9, i did the same through Avantbrowser and Firefox with the same effect.

Bear in mind i have my 'Taskbar' hidden as it's setting, and do not have 'sysytem tray' icons loaded on the dock, i also have all my desktop icons set to hidden, but have created a folder as a link to these icons, and it sits on the OD.

I found to get the Microsoft 'Security & update' page to load, download and install the current update (this was a Root Certificate), i had to first maximize Windows Internet explorer then type in the main www.microsoft.com address, from there i could then click onto all the relitive links and it updated sucessfully, no problems.

Just something to try if anyone's having the same issues, it worked for me.
