Product Name : Dynamic Earth
User Name : (My name here, obviously)
Serial number : A 28 digit serial number is here, essentially worthless.
Expires : Monday, March 24, 2008.
No web address or download link, but oddly comes with a user name that just so happens to be my real name. A google search doesn't give me anything other than the aforementioned Desktop Earth. Whatever this is is gonna expire real soon now, and I've never even seen it. While I obviously don't know what I'm missing here, I'd still like to see whatever it is that was included with the package, you know?
Badass B, that expiry date is just a year from when you purchased. Our db puts one on every registration since we use them for subscriptions. It doesn't mean that your product is going to expire.
Desktop Earth is part of Object Desktop. I *think* that is was originally called Dynamic Earth when Deskscapes was in earlier beta, which may be where the confusion is. This is what it is (but is also available as a Deskscapes download through SDC for Object Desktop): https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=293&libid=50
"Dynamic" ended up being a name that people didn't relate to, so I think that is why it is ow "Desktop Earth" instead.
Here it is, three and a half years later, and I noticed the same thing today when I renewed my subscription to Object Desktop. I have an entry for Dynamic Earth with no link, and no clue to what it is supposed to be for. Googling the phrase leads me to this forum thread, but there does not seem to be a clear answer to what it is or why it is still there (did I mention it is now 3.5 years since the original post?) so much later without any apparent clarification.
Advice, anyone?
That dream is included with DeskScapes 3.x
