Version of Game?

How do you tell what version of the game you are running? I updated using Stardock Central on both 30-Mar and 31-Mar, each night it showing me a new version available. However, both nights I then played games where multiple minor races had a "monopoly" on the same trade good. I thought that this was supposedly eliminated. How do I tell whether the download took or not?

Are you running the windowed mode client? I noticed that doesn't seem to get updated when they patch the regular version of the game. Of course I noticed that after playing almost 2 full games thinking I was running the patch when I actually wasn't.

I don't think so. I'm running whatever is executed when you click on the desktop icon that was created by the CD installation. It gives you an initial menu with the options of Play Game, Galciv.com, Metaverse, Galactic Encyclopedia, and Survival Guide. I choose Play Game and have no idea if it's hitting an updated executable that way, or not. Though I do see this modification from the latest History text:

Details screen now displays how much maint. completed projects use "(X)" by their names.

I just wish there was somewhere to see the game version when you start the game.

Somewhere on this forum Frogboy said that the windowed ver. will be up in a day or two I think.
