little query

can anyone tell me how you can click on say logon studio and get 389 pages go and do something else come back to logon studio and find that there are 72 pages, go on another computer and low and behold there are 118 pages, this applies to some of the other parts of object desktop, talk about confusing people, and can i suggest to the staff at object desktop to put the no of pages so that you can click on page ten instead of going through every page, this is very time consuming, not to mention that when you use the programme you get different amount of pages, and also they seem to be in a different order if you use a different computer, which makes you want to bang your head against a brick wall.

I'm assuming you mean the various galleries? The galleries have different numbers of total pages because they are different galleries. People keep adding new stuff to them so their size steadly increases. The number of pages shown in a gallery depends on the number of items selected by the user to be displayed per page. To give a simple example if I select 10 as the number of items per page to be displayed then in a 100 item gallery the total number of pages will also be 10. However, if I select 20 as the number of items to be displayed per page then in that same 100 item gallery 5 will be the total number of pages. And, yes please take some time to look at the user selectable areas on the gallery pages and in your user settings. All the answers to your suggestion are found there.  ;)

I'm going to assume (bad thing) that you are talking about the Gallery Libraries.

The simple answer could be each time you are looking at the library a different number of skins per page was selected which would change the total number of pages.

The order of how the skins are shown changes because a different sort was used for viewing.

also, you have to be a subscriber to wincustomize to be able to see more than 12 per page (i think). once you subscribe you can choose a selection including, 12, 32, 48 and 100 skins per page.

You can simply change the 2 at the end to whatever page you want. Not too hard and it works. :)
