Upgrade bug fixed????

I was just wondering if the ship upgrade bug has been fixed with the newer patches for Dread Lords and Dark Avatar. When i created my own ships and decided upgrade to more advanced defense and weaponry, the ship would turn into a feeble battle axe or defender with none of the advanced systems i wanted. I would go to the upgrade all ships screen and pay for the upgrade and watch my mighty fleet turn into a less than adequate space navy:(

Hmmm...I don't remember that bug at all.  I fixed a lot of problems with the ship design and upgrade design problems for 1.8 in DA.

Hmm, sorta sounds like you just didn't pick the correct ship on the upgrade screen. When you go to the upgrade screen, it will have the first ship on your list highlighted, in alphabetical order, so usually it's a defender or battle axe. You have to manually click it to the ship you just designed.

I've done that a time or 2 myself...

You spend all that time designing the ship you want, and naturally assume when you upgrade an existing ship it would be to the one you just made, so its an easy step to miss.

Indeed we did answer this issue. It was me not selecting the right type of ship i wanted to upgrade to. I apologize for the unecessary post
