Black Start Menu and No Firefox Labelbar

Hi.  I bought a legal copy of WindowBlinds straight from the Stardock site a couple of days ago...thus WB6.  I'm running the Diamond theme and every once in a while the start menu turns black and the top of my Firefox browser won't show up.

I can fix it though by opening WB and hitting apply changes without actually doing anything.  I suppose it's 'refreshing' or something.  Any ideas on how to stop this?  It's annoying.

Open the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and click on System info.  Copy/paste that info here.

Two of your files are out of date. Update via Stardock Central, Reboot and see if that solves your problem.

If you were using the shareware version before this I would have hoped you would have uninstalled it before installing the paid version. If not then this could be the problem so totally uninstall all Windowblinds from your PC and reinstall again, via Stardock Central.

Good Luck, if problems still remain come back to us and we'll try to help some more :)

I see 3

possibly not out of date but due to standalone install vs SDC install

Well, I uninstalled completely, and installed via Stardock Central and am still having the same issues.

So what's that mean? What do I do? I've updated via SDC and there's no updates available. This seems to be a shoddy software.

First did you follow this steps?:
unsinstall, reboot, reinstall trough SDC then reboot again

Second in SDC did you check "show prerelease versions"?
Yup. If I turn off transparencies and blurs, it helps cure the problem, but not totally.

No help? Oh well, no response to any of my emails to Stardock either.

You are not copying all the info here.
What system are you using? Plus that graphics controller may not work with per-pixel.
What version do you have for SDC?

I hate to offer the very simple responces but I would try a uninstall/reinstall. Be sure to get the reinstall through Stardock Central. Always a great way to check for the simple fix.

Is this on all themes or just this one?.

Those dates are not correct. Uninstall - reboot - reinstall - reboot - through Stardock Central
Post Sytem info again.

Hope I can get a refund.

I don't know if it's only one skin or not. I use the Diamond XP, because it's the only one I like.

Okay, for the fourth time, I think, I've uninstalled, completely deleted the folder, run RegCure & CCleaner to get rid of what's left that i can't see. Downloaded SDC, installed through SDC, and here is the log:

did you reboot between each steps?

Rebooted after uninstall, then deleted folder and ran regcure and ccleaner. Then I downloaded SDC, installed WB6 thru SDC. A reboot was not necessary after deleting the folder and running the two cleaning programs.

Start from scratch again and do a fresh install. After you have uninstalled all Stardock progs REBOOT your machine. Then run this Stardock utility to 'zap' every last element of Stardock progsWWW Link then REBOOT again. I don't think it would do any harm if you cleared out your Internet cache too. Then reinstall via Stardock Central and make sure you have the 'show pre-release versions' button ticked.
