Vista 64bit and Systemtray

Hi there,

yesterday I bought ObjectDock Plus. The main reason was that it support the system trays.

After installing I'd tried to activate the SystemTray icons and the program told me "NO 64 BIT Vista support yet"


THAT is really disappointing. A feature that you cannot try in free version, and then buying the full version it still doesn't work???

Anyway, does anyone know when this feature is planed?

Hi there,

forget what I said, I just found out there's a beta out support the system tray icons (and the start button).

Now I'm happy again :-)))

Thanks for the great software.


Here's how you get the beta:
- Go to Stardock Central
- check the box "show pre releases" (on the lower left)
- go to "Misc" Category
-> there you see the 1.90i beta

It's running just a few minutes now, but seems to work perfectly :-))) Gooooooooooooddddddbye windows task bar!!!!!!

I've OD+ and run it on 64bit Vista Ultimate. How do I get the beta that

Now where do I find the beta download? I just purchased the Plus version. I used to have a full OD subscription and that had it's own app which let me download beta versions, I don't see that here. I'd go full OD again but I don't need all of the functionality right now.

Thanks. I am running build 537u. I don't have "Install" action avilable in Stardock Central for the OD+ in misc. So I suppose I'm running the latest version.

Still, no systray on Vista 64bit. I also have trouble with "Show Desktop" docklet. It doesn't seem to do anything.

Did you ever uninstall the trial of the software? If not you should uninstall everything then reinstall to the latest version.

km7kumar you may need to email support@stardock.com, Vista compability is coming along, but I'm not sure we they are with 64bit.  :NOTSURE:

Resolved! Systray is working fine on Vista Ultimate 64bit. Earlier I had issues
because I was also running bblean (Blackbox for Windows) at the same time. Once I disabled bbLean, systray started to work.

Few issues:

1. ObjectDock itself showsup in systray. Perhaps it should hide itself from SysTray
2. Windows Sidebar is showing up systray. I think this also should be hidden
3. Show Desktop docklet does not do anything.

Just picked up SDCentral again, but I don't see the pre-release in the list, even after clicking show pre-releases.

I have the following in my list...
Apoqee Icons
Essorant Skinpack
Unorthodox Skin Pack
Aquarium Desktop
Natural Desktop
Bloq Naviqator
CursorXP

Any thoughts? Or can someone upload the executable somewhere? sendspace.com maybe? Thanks!

Thanks, I found it shortly after I posted. I forgot that I needed to install Stardock Central. It's been a while.
