Windowblinds issue

Hey guys,
Hopefully you can assist with this, it's got me stumped. I took a hiatus from windowblinds over the last 8 months or so as my company had me part of the test group for Windows Vista. Now that i'm sick of fighting all the errors and glitches that always accompany a new OS, i'm back to using XP Pro SP2. I downloaded my licensed version of windowblinds i used to use before i joined the test group, and now i'm having issues with it. When i switched back to XP, i debugged the hard drive so there was absolutely no information left on it (and got yelled at by IT dept. for doing so :P) After the system was imaged, i downloaded WB 5.1, rebooted when it asked.

Problem is now that no matter what WB Skin i use from www.wincustomize.com, it will not change my task bar. Task bar stays the same windows default blue with every skin. My IE buttons and bars don't change, some of the drop down menus change colors and size as they should with the different skins. Only thing i can think of (and i just thought of it as i'm typing this) is i'm using IE 7. That might explain the IE toolbar and buttons issues, but i don't think that would have an effect on the task bar would it?

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

A few of your dates seem off.
Are you installing from Stardock Central?  If not I'd start there.  You are also a few releases behind.  Now might be a good time to upgrade to 6.01

Thanks for the info :) i'll try installing from SC rather than the old email link i have and see what that does.

Edit: that was it, i was out of date. Everything works fine now, except an annoying flicker in the icon area around hte clock while desktop is loading, but that quits after everything is loaded, so i can live with it.

Thanks for the help!
