Anyone still here?

They said it was years away from completion...but that was years ago. I think they're way overdue for an update. I haven't even seen this game mentioned in updates from Stardock. My guess is that the game has been scrapped.

I'm thinking the same thing, sadly. Would love to get an update...even if it's an unofficial word about the game being canceled or something.

The game was not canceled. It is still in production, but Stardock has many other projects on its hands. Brad Wardel has stated that he wanted to do the game right, so he has a small team working on it. Later when Stardock has gotten most of its other projects out of the way, developement will kick into high gear. Wardel has also said not to expect the game on shelves before 2009. So we have a long wait. On the plus side though, the projects being wored on currently are gonna rock. The second expansion for Galactic Civilizations two is almost comeplete and it will be awesome. Also Stardock is working on some kind of 4x fantasy strategy game. It has been said that it will be similar in style to Master of Magic. So dont worry even though Society may be on hold for a while, it is far from canceled.

I'd really like to hear that it hasn't been canceled from someone official.

ANY official word would be nice. Looking back, i've been following this game since Jan. 23rd, 2006 i believe. Would love to hear that it hasn't been canceled and even better, possible news about beta testing and how they will go about this...
