The Local Session Manager Service is a component of Windows Vista that manages sessions on your computer. Sessions isolate a user's system-managed objects from those of other users, and of system services. Each user logged into the computer - whether locally or remotely - has their own local session.
This process must be left running or the computer will be shut down.
