heightmaps won't complete install

Stardock Central seems to be stuck on the following...

Downloading gc2_heightmaps.sdc
100% complete

...and wont proceed from there.

I've tried the following

If you can't complete the download of the Heightmaps;

Please try the following from within Stardock Central:

-Go to Tools->Settings
-Click the Internet section
-Click the "Refresh XML Data" button

Run this program: http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/clear_cache_sdc.bat

I'm in Windows XP, can't seem to find where I do the "Refresh XML Data" section?

Start > Settings > Control Panel > ??Don't know where to go from here??

Does heightmaps make a difference? Is it ok to just exit Stardock Central and run GALCIV2 without it?

The heightmaps are really just a load time and memory saving measure. They're not at all necessary to play the game.



Did support send you those directions, or did you see them posted somewhere else? Either way, if you really do want to get the heightmaps anyway, support@stardock.com is your best bet sorting the issue.

The "Refresh XML Data" section is actually inside of Stardock Central, not inside of Windows XP. Open Stardock Central and then go Tools -> Settings (On the top file menu area) Then inside of there on the left side you will see Internet, that will have the option there.
