Problem with a Stardock made skin + Questions :)

While vista is a very pretty OS, I've started using Windowblinds again now that I have a much beefier system.

I have a few problems however and I am hopping there are some skinners etc that could tell me how to fix these.

My first problem seems to be prevalent in just about every skin I have tried, the ones from stardock and the ones from other makers. Here is a picture of what I am talking about. This is a drop down calendar from the Task Scheduler.

Next problem I have found is this, its a button that doesnt appear to be skinned.

Here is what the problem looks like:

What it should look like:

I am sure I will eventually find other elements I could use help on. I am learning my way around the studio skinner, but there just seem to be some elements that I can't find "where" they are located.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem as your first in Picassa with the calendar.

The second issue is that the image was forgotten (or not known about) by the skinner.  Maybe vStyler will see this and assist.  I know for sure he dealt with it recently.

Do you know where in Skin Studio Professional that element would be found so that I can correct it? Some of my skin's the error is corrected, but other's it is not. I just can't located where in the correct ones it is, so that I can copy the same data into the older skins to fix it for them.

For instance, in the "fixed" image above that is Nuage Redux,If i could find where the code is in that one that fixes the button in that window I could apply it to the broken skins.

What's aggrivating is that in the older skins I have, all the other buttons are there and working correctly. Only thing I can think of is that this is a "special" window in vista that somehow falls outside the normal "button" parameters. Anyway, I have no idea at this point.

Any help would be appreciated.

The first problem looks more like a WB6 problem, I would try loading Diamond or Leo to see if it is happening in one of Stardocks default skins.

The image in question is one of the wizard arrows for Vista only. In SKS 6 there are three images found in section '23' in the tree on the left hand side of SKS once you open the submenu (this has to be turned on in preferences) Left, right and down arrow. They can also be acccessed through the "Vista additional parts" section.

If its a pay skin it is the responsibility of the skinner to fix this problem so I would notify them in some way and ask for a fix. I've seen this element missing in quite a few skins.

Looks like you are right, it must be a WB6 problem. The calendar problem persists in all stardock skins: Diamond, Leo, etc.

Hopefully they will fix this soon(tm)

Will try to find the "section 23" you mentioned and see if I can map that image and correct things.

Honestly I am quite flabbergasted right now. I really didn't expect such prompt and helpful answers so fast. Thank you so much for your help so far :) Will report back when and if i can figure out my first little project on here heh.
