Can you provide a link to one of the backgrounds that are failing for you?

.dockzip is just an installation file. It will "automatically" install if you double click on it (and have Object Dock+ installed)

If you download a .zip file YOU will have to extract the background out of the zip into it's own directory under My Documents/Objectdock Library/Backgrounds

when you add it thru the wizard, the software crashes,

i have no idea on how to set it up.

Can someone tell what files are accepted by Object Dock ?
Only ObjectDock specific or does it handles DesktopX files as well ?

Thank you for your help :)

ObjectDock will accept PNG and ICO files, Background sets made specifically for OD, and Docklets.
You can't use DX files.

Hope that helps. :CONGRAT:

.Dockzip files will automatically install docks into the added folders that were added to Object dock during the most recent updates that are located in your "My Documents"...I however do not use .dockzip files because I use custom Plus/Minus images that do not work when placed in those folders which is why when you download any of my docks they will be in .zip files.

My dock backgrounds have to be added to the backgrounds folder found in the Programs/Stardock/Objectdock/backgrounds folder in order for the Plus/Minus images to work.

You can of course put the backgrounds folders in the zip files in the Objectdock folders found in your "My Documents" folder and the backgrounds will work just fine....but you will then only see the default Plus/Minus images which do not match the skins they were made for. ;)
