Network Activity Docklet needs testing

works fine here on XP pro sp2 and Vista home premium
OD Plus last version

could it be possible to add kbits/sec or some more informations in mouse over?
could it be configured to switch internet connections (wifi/wireless/...)?
and to allow user to use their own graphics?

(Wizop)Quentin94, I am looking into kb/sec.

This network activity is per computer, not per network card. Per network card may be in the future. I can implement packet count (maybe kb/sec) sent and recieved in a Mouse Over. Will look into this in the near future.

User Graphics is possible if I keep the current configuration which is set up as (with different names in this beta):

Quiet.png - No activity
Tx.png - Just transmitting
Rv.png - Just recieving
TxRv.png - Doing both

I can implement a dialog to load your own graphics for each condition and save in an ini file to load them each time.

I was also thinking of implementing scale bars showing the amount of packets coming and going in a rising status bar. User graphics would be a lot of work in this, requiring 18 or more separate png files for a four level scale.

I could do this programatically with one main image and manipulate an internal overlay. But this would not allow much in user graphic change-ability.

Thanks for the docklet. I installed it, added the docklet, two dark screens popped up, and then nothing. I know my network has activity but the docklet icon does not change at all. I tried right-clicking on the icon which, as you know, brings up the 'about' screen. Just to be sure, I quit and re-opened objectdock and no difference.

The expire date for that docklet is past gone. It was a beta. Wish I caught this earlier. My next docklet is quite a bit more complex then this one. The betas will include, early on, a network hardware parser that creates a text file with info that can be emailed to me in a no-go situation.

Your clock is correct, is it not? Jan 1st 2008 was the cutoff date.

What windows version do you have and service pack?
What is your network makeup? (Network card) -> (DSL/CABLE/???)

Close to a beta but ironing out differences between XP and Vista. Vista is not as backward compatable as you would think.
