How to display tray icons "normal" size?

I am using ObjectDock Plus 1.90i[b].020, I tested on Vista Ultimate x86 and Vista Ultimate x64.

I enabled showing both the start menu and the system tray icons, this allows me to completely get rid of the legacy taskbar.

The problem is that the system tray icons are being scaled to fit the dock, and since the tray icons are normally small, when they are being scaled to a much bigger size they look ugly, too ugly to use like this.

Are there any options to not upscale the tray icons, e.g. center them in the dock, or draw multiple lines of icons in the dock?

Regards
P.

Since you have Plus you can have multiple docks. For the systray I'd recommend a normal dock of it's own instead of a tabbed dock and then you can use the slider (Dock Settings > Appearance page > Icon size) to may the icons as small or large as you want.

Edit: just so you know if you left click on a systray item the Dock Entry Properties dialog comes up so you can use better looking icons.

Lantec, thanks for the adviuce on using two docks.

I tried creating a tabbed dock, but I don't know how to enable the systray option for a tabbed dock, the systray option seems to only be available for regular docks.

For now I created a regular dock and made the icons smaller.

Another Q, any way I can get a digital clock on my tray toolbar?

(My objective is really to replace the regular taskbar with something nicer yet functionally equivalent)

For Systray tab: On tabbed dock, right click, Tabs | Add new tab | Add systray tab
For digital clock: I like this one: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=10224&libid=29
