Hauppauge ir.exe and windowblinds

I have a Hauppauge remote that requires ir.exe to use with mediaCenter and anything else.

ir.exe starts with windows from the startup/ folder in the start menu.

With Windowblinds ir.exe is running in the task manager but doesnt show the icon in the system tray and the remote does not work at all.

I have to shut down 'End task' for the ir.exe, unload Windowblinds and then restart ir.exe.

Anyone else have this problem or know of a solution? It really sucks to get all comfortable in the lazy boy, only to have to get up to perform the steps above.

Do you have the WinTV unit in the USB slot when you start windows?

I find the remote will only work if the unit is in USB slot if not have to restart it when I plug it in so it can find the unit.

So changed to just having a shortcut to hit when plugged unit in instead of starting with Windows start.

Thanks for the reply.
I should've mentioned
The card is a PCI card (PVR-150) so it's always plugged in.
The only way to get the remote to work is to unload windowblinds and restart the ir.exe.

If I uninstall Windowblinds the remote is always ready to use.
After ir.exe is restarted I can reload Windowblinds and all is fine, so the problem is trying to load ir.exe after the skin is set.

Have you tried excluding ir.exe in the WB exclusion list?
