Some Icons are too small in Tabbed dock

Hi All,

I'm using Object Dock Plus, V1.90 build 537u on Vista X64 Ultimate edition. I'm using the defaul Icon Size of 48x48 with a screen size of 1280x1024 and a 120 dpi. I've created several tabs in a dock. Some program icons like ObjectEdit and ObjectBar have 16x16 and 32x32 icons. Thease icons are displayed as VERY small icons with a large clear box around them in the OD Tab:

This did not occur in XP X64 SP2. Is this a bug, a bad setting, or a Vista oddness? How do I correct the icons (besides finding replacement icons)?

TIA

Odd.
I just added OB and have a normal size icon.
If you go to teh properties of that shortcut and hit the Reset button and then OK is it restored?

Can you post the properties box?  And the path to OB you are using?

Hi,

I tried resetting the icon for OB and the other "small icon" items. reseting did not seem to make the icon appear larger.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Object Desktop\ObjectBar\ObjectBar.exe

interesting! The various icons (either png or ico) from the WinCustomize Browser Object Dock Icon area all worked. It's only the icons that ship with the apps. Here is my little list of affected apps:

Notepad++
Putty 0.60
WinSCP
FileZilla
TeamSpeak (Beta) [found a replacement icon]
Ventrillo
Eve
EveMon
Steam
Object Edit
Object Bar

Strange I have the same OD build and Vista x64 but I don't have that problem. I only tested it using Notepad++, FileZilla, Teamspeak (beta), and Steam as those are the only apps I have installed from the list you gave.

Very Odd. Add fxCop 1.35 btw to the list.

I have my default icon size as 48, I'm using a Nvidia 8800 GTS with latest nvidia drivers and a screen size of 1280x1024 and 1600x1200 (depending on what I'm doing).

I have this similar problem with Vista 64. I know the problem is because i am using DPI of 120 instead of 96. Can someone help solve this SMALL Icon problem please.

I'd suggest you get new icons for those apps from the galleries at WC or request new ones be made.

I'm having the same problems, with my Tabbed Docks.
Notepad++ is one of those I have, too.
Also Unipad, Babel Pad, and Babel Map,
WinDirStat, Registry Workshop,
Celestia, MAME32UI

Hmm, The icons exist in the app, it's just that OD can't read them properly. How about someone post instructions on how to extract the icons using a tool that can read them, and save them in a format that OD don't have problems with? This could be automated as a work-around.
