what can colonize

I thought all capital ships could but apparently they can't ?
Is there a rule book for the beta yet, I thought I was smart but I guess not....

...? Colony ships colonize, and the Akkan (and its Vasari counterpart) have that as one of their powers (and only one). Most colony ships can't colonize.

Colony ships lose way to much antimatter between jumps, it ticks me off to no end, top that off with the fact if you jump the ship to a new (unowned) planet, the colony ships is the number one target.

Most of the time I jump in my attack force to take out the rebels, then jump the colony ship, then wait as it gets enough antimatter to colonize.

hmmm well thats gotta suck... your colonial ships have a bad chance of surviving on their own because of rebels but clearing an area makes a colonial ship become more burdensome....

Akkans = awesome on larger maps, great for getting alot of planets fast.
