Any chance of updating the weapon graphics?

Some are fairly well done (most of the beam weapons).
Others just look really silly (most mass drivers).
A few could use some tweaking (photon torpedoes move way too S L O W).
Mass drivers are supposed to be magnetically propelled high velocity slug shooters so why the rainbow colored puke effect on many of them? Anyways in my opinion the weapon graphics could use an overhaul and overall could look a lot cooler in general with a little work.
