Stargate Total Conversion Mod's Ships

A Peek at some of the ships we have completed

Hey, this is theStormWeaver from the Stargate Mod Team. I thought some of you would like to see some of the work the team has accomplished. More specifically team member cytosine.

You may notice that the Alkesh is alittle distorted, but cyto has fixed that mesh since this capture was taken.

You can find more/better captures here.

Perhaps an Atlantian Battleship?

It is a theoretical design based on Tau'ri past ship classes to fit the spaces in GalCiv of the various hull sizes since in SG there are very few ship classes shown for any race.

what is that ship on the far right, above the prometheus and f-304?

Thats the Excalibur Class, and more then theorethical, will show up in the last Stargate season, as the new Tau'ri Spaceship. Armed with Asgard Energy Weapons, Phase shifting, etc. the Ori Killer

well considering that in the series finale the asgard loaded up the oddessey with all their tech goodies, i doubt that a new ship design will be showing up in episodes AFTER the series finale......

Ehm... the Excalibur is official... it is in the series, but Season 10 (I think it was also in the other phasic parallel universe (where carter switched to), when the Stargate became public on the earth)

I can guarantee that the Excalibur is not in Season 10 of SG1, not even in "The Road Not Taken" (the alternate universe, the ship seen there is the Prometheus BC-303). As of yet it is not in Season 4 of Atlantis either.

No Ori stuff?
I hope their will be, for they are Hallowed!
as far as i know the only Ori ships seen in SG-1 were the giant battleships, and the tiny fighters. Would be nice to see some more variety, but without maybe one or two more designs to extrapolate from it would be pretty difficult.

If the Excalibur size compared to the 303 and 304 is accurate, i dont see it coming into Atlantis anytime soon, short of it being found as a derelict somewhere in pegasus. but of course if that happened then it wouldnt be of earth design *shrugs*

By the way, those models looks very good!

I'm looking forward for this mod.

we are still in some various development stages but we are coming along nicely, hopefully maybe the end of December or early January we will have a working beta, but that may be optimistic.
Very nice, im looking forward to seeing more of your development. There hasnt really been a stellar stargate mod yet. I hope you guys are the first.

Any chance you all will release the ship designs individually, without the entire mod? Also are you planning on including the Aurura class Ancient warships?
oh hm, then I got wrong info about the excalibur, well but its a nice ship

I don't believe we are releasing the ships separately, though that particular decision is completely out of my control and hands, I do the xml work not the ship modding

Our ship modeler is still working on some texture work on the established designs (which can be seen above) but he does have other ships planned.

As for the Excalibur, yeah, won't argue its a nice ship . Supposedly, either in the movies or at the end of Season 4 of Atlantis they will be introducing the 'Phoenix', which may be a Daedalus-class but there is some speculation it will be a completely new design, though I personally find this unlikely.
The same speculation surrounded the Apollo before it entered at the end of season 3 of atlantis, though that ultimately ended up being just another 304, so my money is on the Phoenix being either a salvaged ship, mainly because the naming conventions dont seem to run with the previous 304s, or the next 304.

well, per Stargate rules all savaged/captured/found/etc ships must be destroyed within two episodes of their founding To be honest, since according to writer Joe Malozzi the Phoenix is going to appear in Atlantis it is more likely that it is either a 304 or an Aurora due to the financial constraints the show has, it just doesn't have the money to introduce a new ship with new sets (even the Daedalus basically just used the Promie sets, with redress) If however it is built originally in the movie, then used in Atlantis it could be a new design since the movie has a larger budget, but still i find it unlikely overall. As for naming convention, "phoenix" is still a mythical/ancient creature and that at least loosely follows the Greek Mythology they use.

Sad but so true. I hate that they destroyed the Auroura.

I just wanted to point out that cyto has posted pictures of several new designs and updated screens of revamped designs. The link to the thread is in the OP.
