resolution - bootscreen

high-res possible?

Hi,
I change the bootscreen with "BootSkin".

The preview of my option looks very well.

The new BS can I take in 3 diff. resolutions.

I take the 1440x900 (like my screen) but on start the look is not high-res
-I think 640 x 480 16 colors. But I'm not shure-

It's possible to take a way show the bootscreen in high-res?

Greatings

bootscreen is pre video drivers so...640x480 16 colors.

I think Vista got an option for higher res bootscreen. But it increases the boot time though...

640x480 would be the only resolution possible for bootskins as far as I know,
take into account that bootskins are also limited to 16 colors,
and you have to use the same 16 color palette for bkgrnd image & progress bar otherwise you'll see a corrupted bootskin image (ie. colors will end up all funky and not anything close to what you had wanted)

This is correct. Bootskins are very limited by todays standards.
