"Launching Squadrons is Currently Prohibited"

Sometimes when I try to launch my fighters and/or bombers from my carriers, I get this message "Launching Squadrons is Currently Prohibited" and then nothing happens... anyone know why?

You are in plasma storm. Click the storm and read the description of its effects on its action grid. Likewise for other space anomolies.

I'm not, I'm assaulting a planet, but my fighters and bombers won't come out of the carriers.

He just said he's attacking a planet, didn't he?

Are there enemy ships in the area or just a planet?

Don't know if that would make a difference.

I have got'n the same problem

and a simaler one where it says I can't bombard a planet, and I already have like five ships destroying the planet, and it isn't close to dead yet.

from what I know bombers/fighters cannot attack planets, so if the only enemy target in the system is a planet that might be causing them refusing to come out and attack.

No, they'd still come out -- that way you can position them to intercept enemies. They don't automatically dock where there is no target, either.

I've gotten this error too with no storms or abilities harming my ships - however the squadrons are able to launch anyway. Really odd.
