Natural Desktop

I can't seem to find this application listed anywhere, so I figure this forum is as close as I can get to it.

I just purchased and installed Natural Desktop and attempted to configure it for my time of day. I can set the location and weather, but the wallpaper and sound stay at evening even though it was set for daytime. I used the customize settings and specifically selected the daytime settings, but there was no change whatsoever. I looked into the program folder and I see all the necessary files, bu the program itself doesn't seem to want to work. At first I thought it was my wallpaper manager, Webshots, but I deselcted the wallpaper manager in that program so it wouldn't interfere. There was no change. Why isn't this working like it should? I can't seem to find and customer support links for it either.

do you have desktop icons hidden?
right click desktop > arrange icons by > show desktop icons

do you have web items locked?
right click desktop > arrange icons by > lock web items on desktop

I had neither the icons hidden or the web items locked. When I selected them with ND running, all it did was unload the wallpaper.

okay - so desktop icons on desktop & web items not locked

did you by change happen to open ND expanded > options > and change any wall from dynamic to custom? (that kills the change feature)

are you running WB? do you have it set to apply skin wall?

do you have any other wall changer in effect that may be overriding ND changing the wall?

That widget needs an update.

When ND gets an update it will get an over haul as well. Needs a new look and whatnot. The update is a while off still I am afraid.

When ND does get updated, is there going to be any fanfare or notice in Stardock Central? I ask because I'm very intrigued by the idea of ND and will definately want to buy it when a Vista ready version is released. I work in an underground office complex with no windows. Having something like ND would be extremely nice. :)

ND is very nice and it would show up in SDC as an update.

I worked in a "closet" for a few years.  I ended up with a number of cheap PCs running Aladdin's Sundial.  I swear it's the only thing that kept me sane*.

*sane being relative

There is no green light on this project yet. I am certian though that it will generate quite a bit of stir if it gets up and moving.

IS ND still available for DL? I can't seem to find it......

If you bought it, you should be able to get a link via email registration request or https://www.wincustomize.com/myaccount.aspx?reg

If you haven't bought it you can get it at desktopgadgets.com
Reply #20 Top
It isn't listed to your account. Did you purchase it before under another email address? Or did you always have it as a trial?
Actually that is my mistake. There is no trial of this software. I got it mixed up with another one. Sorry for that. It is only ten dollars in the end and Stardock does have a return policy. If you take the plunge and need help just let us know!
