Registering Gal Civ II: Gold Edition key

Hey all,

I recently got Gal Civ II: Gold Edition from Stardock. I ordered it from the Stardock store (download + CD). I had to use my gf's PayPal account to do it.

I got the email with the serial code. Funny thing is it used my girlfriend's name and email listed above the product key as the user name and email respectively, which is confusing the hell out of me. Can I use the serial and associate it with my Stardock account? My girlfriend never made an account, yet the email seems to indicate that it was done automatically using her PayPal details? I'm not sure.

Anyways, I have the serial and I'm wondering if:

1) Is it associated to some automatically created Stardock acount? Or can I use the serial and associate with my account.

2) How do I register the Gold Edition serial? There is no Gold Edition in the list of games in the registration menu - only Gal Civ 2 and Dark Avatar.

An account isn't made automatically, but the email used on the sales order is used to link the serial to any (pre-existing or otherwise) SDC account using the same address. If you want to use your own email/account, you'll want to contact support@stardock.com and request an account merge with the two emails.

Once you've got that sorted, just register the Gold serial as both regular DL and as DA (using the same one twice).
