icons in objectdock AND in desktop?

Hi again!

I downloaded OD, its nice!
But i want to know two things: first, why there are icons in OD and same icons in my desktop? Example, i have a folder with my works in desktop, and i put it into OD...but when i delete this folder of desktop, i lost everything in the folder in OD! why this???
and second: for example, i put an icon of windows live messenger into OD, but when i pass with the mouse, the quality of this icon is horrible! i´ve tried to decrease the settings of this effect, but it´s still the same!

OD is only a link (shortcut) to your files.  It does not store anything.

The icon you are using might just be low quality.  Why don't you take a look at the gallery and see if there is something better:  https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?libid=29&cat=Dock%20icons

Put all your folders in My documents.  Link from there.

pauloxp, go ahead and put all your icons on the dock but leave them on the desktop too. sometimes when you delete an icon off the desktop, the shortcut on the dock will not work. When you get them all on the dock, rightclick on the desktop, you will see "show desktop icons" on the dropdown list. Uncheck that and all the desktop icons will dissappear. Now you have a clean desktop!!

Not the case in Vista.

Also, that doesn't take care of the user created folders, only the Windows default.

right click on desktop > arrange icons by > uncheck show desktop icons
