Transparency/Translucency/Blurring Problems

I'm seeing all kinds of weird glitches and oddities with translucency and blurring effects on WB6. It doesn't matter what skins I use. This happens on them all. These screenshots were all taken using Vista 2.4 (Jemaho), with the Royale Noir taskbar (I converted it from msstyles format with SkinStudio, because the Vista style's start menu is horribly broken (known problem with it) Here's a rundown of the problems I've found:

1) Start menu doesn't redraw what's underneath if partially translucent. It doesn't even redraw if I turn the transparency down to the point where the start menu is completely invisible: http://www.questwizard.net/files/wbglitchup01.png
The application used was SMPlayer, a frontend/gui for MPlayer. It doesn't redraw any application though.

2) Magic pink shows transparent when a window is dragged. For a good example, put Calculator into scientific mode, and draw the window around, paying careful attention to the pink text on some buttons. You'll be able to see through it, just like you do in this shot from Game Maker 5.0: http://www.questwizard.net/files/wbglitchup02.png

3) For some reason, there are some things that just WON'T blur no matter what. Like a titlebar over top another titlebar, or in this case, Yahoo Widgets as well. Here's a couple screenshots:

And finally, here is the system info:

WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.0 (build 36 x86)

WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC
WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC
Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins.

(Plug and Play Monitor) 1 is attached to NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS

same here. The titlebar won't blur any other skinned titlebar and the Rainlendar on my desktop also doesn't get blurred.

All of these are perfectly normal on Windows XP.

The startmenu will not update when things under it update while it is open.

Blur cannot be done against other per pixel titlebars or any alpha blended objects on the desktop (like Yahoo widgets or Rainlendar)
