DALaunch.ico bug.

On my desktop, the Dark Avatar icon isn't showing properly. It just shows the windows default icon.

When I go to the icon's properties, I get an error message that says 'cannot locate DALaunch.ico'

The game still works if I double click on it, but my PC cannot locate the DALaunch icon, and so is just using the windows default icon for Dark Avatar.

What version of the game are you running? I haven't seen any problem with that since the beta back in January.

In any case, you should just be able to hit the Change Icon button in the properties and browse for GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\da.ico manually.

I have the latest beta installed. Just installed it three days ago.

Though I've been having the same problem with the launch icon since the first 1.7 beta.

Alternatively, if that doesn't work for you, this is what I use:

GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\DALaunch.exe

Hit properties on the shortcut, then Change Icon, then browse to that location. The .exe for the game contains the default icon.
