It's Fall
Crisp night air,
Colorful, crackling leaves,
Time for trees to sleep,
For crops to ripen,
For animals to scamper to and fro,
Stocking up for the harsh winter to come.
Another turn of season,
School back in session,
Halloween and Thanksgiving,
Candy and a huge meal,
Fall is a celebration.
Kids with the sniffles,
Wrapped up in cozy blankets,
Watching the north wind blow.
Frost will come soon,
And snow may start,
The year draws to a close.
Breathe in the earthy scent,
As life winds down,
Falls asleep and hides away,
Get used to the briskness,
Of these lovely fall days
